Music Recommendations, care of nick

January 25, 2010

Posted by: nick @ 11:35 am

Though completely unrelated to coffee, I just wanted to throw out some music recommendations. While we are limited on some of the things we can play here at Pascal’s, that doesn’t mean all we listen to are mellow indie-acoustic tunes. Here’s a couple of my favorite albums right now.

Paper Route- Absence (they have an awesome website)

Grizzly Bear- Veckatimest

Heartless Bastards- The Mountain

Phil Collins- …Hits (how can you not love Phil Collins?)

The Swell Season- Strict Joy

The Black Keys- pretty much any album they’ve ever released

And while speaking of music, don’t miss Hoyle Tuesday night at the Atlantic downtown. Nathan Beam and Kevin O’Keefe played here for our inaugural First Friday series and are playing their first official show tomorrow with the full band. It promises to be a good time so don’t miss it.

Any music recommendations for us, all of you out in the magical land of cyber space?

If you haven’t been to the CSC recently, take a break and stop in because we’ve got a new exhibit up for the semester. The exhibit She Waits by Sereen Gualtieri will run through May. For more information on the exhibit follow the jump here. You can purchase any of the pieces at the coffee bar or during her opening reception on Sunday January 24th.
